5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Chillout Experience!
Wow ! Buddha lounge 5 is off the charts. This series from Sequoia Groove just keeps getting better and better. I especially love Hands Upon Black Earth's "The Star & The Snake" , Artemisia's "Her Infinite Variety" and "El Momento" from Jens Gad. This music really takes you places. Just put it on and prepare youselves for the ultimate chill experience. Super-subtle beats...

1.0 out of 5 stars Buddha Schmudda
This is nothing but "new age" "smooth jazz" pap with some creepy vocals thrown in that sound like people having sex. Only the really needy shallow uninitiated desperate nonseeker would subject themselves to this insult.

Super-subtle beats and electronic ambiance blend with exotic acoustic instruments and vocals to make this a really exceptional album. Take a listen to the sample tracks and you'll see what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Chill-out classic!!!, September 22, 2006

Another splendidly chill release from the Sequoia Groove label. There are some really exceptional tracks here that should not be missed. Take a listen to the samples for Jens Gad's "El Momento", TYA's "Deep Blue", Hands Upon Black Earth's "The Star & The Snake" (my favorite!) and MTC's "Shining" for some sensuously sweet examples of the latest in downtempo chillout/lounge bliss. Another chill-out classic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buddah Lounge 5 Series is Awesome!, September 18, 2007
This review is from: Buddha Lounge 5 (Audio CD)
I really enjoy music and when I find a series like the Gordon's Buddah Lounge Series, wow, I LOVE music. All of the Buddah Lounge volumes are just awesome - each one being hypnotic in sounds, rhythms and grooves, yet each are unique from each other. Love to just chill, relax, have a glass of wine and listen to this cool release.

I just can't resist the Buddha Lounge compilations - while they are both soothing and engaging, they also provide a nice little spiritual lift. Number V is not the best in the series, but it certainly keeps the series going in fine style.

This is just great music. There is no getting around it. Awesome for a dinner party or just winding down. Super cool, super chill beats drive the whole CD on. I haven't heard all the Buddha Lounge disks, but I plan to. This is one great find.

5.0 out of 5 stars the newest, the best, January 7, 2008
This review is from: Buddha Lounge 5 (Audio CD)
Super-chill, these cool beats will fill any room with the inviting, kick-back atmosphere you require the next time you have friends over to your house. Many of these artists I was previously unfamiliar with but after hearing Buddha Lounge, Vol. 4 I had to have more. I am so glad Sequoia put out another volume. My favorite activities include this album, friends and my favorite bottle of wine.

I consider myself a music enthusiast to the max and love this entire anthology. A really great group of artists are gathered for my listening pleasure! Wonderful! The world beats and vocals are top notch and I am thrilled to be able to put so many disks on and not have to even look at the CD player all weekend. THANK YOU! Another of my true favorites is World Groove Mix, Vol. 1, a real exotic vibe here.

Sensual and soothing, yet rhythmical while relaxing, these grooves resonate with planetary harmony. The guitar is magical, lyrical. The vocals transport the listener beyond the here. Abandon cares, abandon thoughts, and soar.
