I love this album. It and all the other Buddha Lounge albums take me to another place. When I put one on to relax or go to sleep it never fails to help the stress of the day melt away. I am very pleased with the latest Volume.

Six entrees later, Buddha Lounge is as great as ever!,
This review is from: Buddha Lounge 6 (Audio CD)
As of this writing, I only have the three most recent entrees in the Buddha Lounge series, the fourth, fifth and the newest sixth edition. Despite the vast number, the sixth entry I could say is so far among the strongest and maybe the best entry in the series yet! The opening track "Amor Parte I" by Achillea followed by Jens Gad's "Blueshift" instantly had me hooked especially the later with the catchy and unique drum loop. The new tracks "Balance Dance" by the Gordon Brothers, "Fire Dancer" and "Day Dreamed" by the Gordon Brothers are fantastic. Other trakcs I enjoyed are "Forward Way Back", "Empty Sea" and the tropical chill-out mood of "Night In Martinique". If you liked the previous entrees, there is no way you can possibly go wrong with this one.

I have been anxiously waiting for this album to be released so I could experience a whole new set of talent mixed by the Gordon brothers. Well Done! If you have purchased any of the past albums, you'll understand when I say don't wait another minute to buy this album! You won't be disappointed!

Buddha Lounge beats em all,

Yet another collection of awesome world groove beats! Buddha lounge does it best of all! The whole series is really cool and I highly recommend putting them all in your 6 disk changer (perfect fit!) and playing them on random, or I suppose you could do the same on your ipod. Anyway, great going, and I always look forward to more from the BL!
Angels Voices is another very cool collection.

The other Buddha lounge style albums just can't hold a candle to this series! The Gordons know how to create the perfect chill-out atmosphere through music. Each song is powerful enough to stand on its own but they also mesh very well together. This is a well put-together album that does not feel choppy or awkward but rather smooth and relaxing with a touch of spice. I can't get enough of this series!!

There is A LOT to be said...,

about a series that can stand the test of 6 volumes. Buddha Lounge excels here. Number 6 is another triumph and I totally dig it. There are some of the most amazing artists included here and together the world beat / electronica is hypnotizing. Thank you Thank you Thank you and keep em coming!

Buddha Lounge 6,

I am a lover of down-tempo electroncia and have listened to tons of different artists and been impressed by a few. The Gordon Brothers have produced a top quality series and in my opinion, 6 is the cherry on top. Buddha Lounge was around for a long time in Europe before the US based Sequoia Records started to distribute it in the states also. It's true it isn't for everybody though. If you are looking for a more pop-py, raidio-ish sounding CD, this is not it. This is for the chill, the lounge-feverish, the laid back beat lovers and I give it a full-bodied 10 out of 10!

The whole Buddha Lounge series, including 6, is AWESOME!!!,

I am very surprised at the disappointment from a couple naysayers in this installment! I thought it had progressed into an even more authentic European chill sound. I think it's true that the record company is based in California but it's a European series that is huge in it's own right.

I couldn't disagree more with Healthy Girl. None of those have tracks that feature songs with stories or words beyond the occasional vocals added almost like an instrument themselves. They are each different but why would you want CD's that are identical? Each album should progress, grow and shine in a new way. They do have similar sounds so you can be sure you are getting cool world-beat/downtempo-electronica, absolutely. I have been a fan for years and have never been disappointed in the Buddha Lounge. Hope there is a 7!

They are each mellow and full of the perfect rhythms for laid back afternoons with friends. There's not a bunch of distracting and loud lyrics that I have to pay attention to: just good, down and true beats and electronica melodies and some soothing and meandering vocals for a saucy touch. You needn't be a lover of chill-out music to appreciate this, my husband say's he's not into it but I hear his feet tapping and fingers beating out rhythms on the table in the other room when it's on :)
