Calming, magnificent, close to perfection,
By
This review is from: Buddha Nature (Audio CD)
I bought this CD by chance before it seemed to become available. Actually I believe it was meant to be. Rarely can an atmospheric, meditational effort reach such perfection. From the very first sound one is calmed, and the gentle flow of melody and magic continues for the whole session. You may think that an artist like Deuter would have lost it after all these years, and all his albums. But in this, perhaps above all his efforts to date, he shows his listening audience the miracle of moments in mastery of performance.

Outstanding.,

On this CD, Deuter masterfully combines rythm and melody to create a remarkable musical experience. The initial mood is effortlessly sustained throughout the recording without taking away from its spontaneity and the music soothes the soul while taking you on a distant journey and back. This is one of the best CDs I've heard for this genre.

Absolutely Beautiful,

The only word I can think of to describe Buddha Nature is "Beautiful" The music is so very soothing and so very relaxing. I previously purchased Deuter's Wind & Mountain and I admit it wasn't really my favorite, so I was hesitant to buy another Deuter CD, but I'm so very glad I did. A lot of meditation/relaxation music works really well as background music when you're doing something, but when I put this CD in, the melodies were so beautiful, I had to stop what I was doing and listen to it--the music actually drew me in...

This is one of my favorite cd's of Deuters. In my healing/massage work this cd has received the most acknowledgement because of its gentle, relaxing sounds of harps and flute.

"You have forgotten about the key, the key is within you.",
This review is from: Buddha Nature (Audio CD)
Buddha Nature is Now. And now is so beautiful. Light some scented candles as you listen in stillness of mind, you will experience the overwhelming hope, calming peace, sheer beauty, and heartfelt love inside yourself because this what Buddha Nature is all about. How Deuter can transduce all these emotions to the listener is divinely astonishing. This is not your ordinary new age music. This has Spirit. Enjoy his soulful, uplifting flute accompanied with the sounds of bells, flowing water, chirping crickets, singing birds and more and let go and allow yourself to explore all the Wonder inside you. There is no one like you. You are very Special. In this journey of life, we may not be able to fully comprehend the true beauty and transcending joy in the Now, but we will move ever closer towards this peace in knowing our own spirithearts by listening and sharing such inspirational, beautiful, enlightening Music as this.
"The Buddha is your intrinsic nature. It need not be created. It has not to develop either, it is already there, it is already the case. It has only to be unfolded, it has to be discovered. The treasure is there; you have to find the key to unlock the door. The treasure is not to be created, the treasure in not to be developed; you only have to find the right key. You have forgotten about the key, the key is within you." Osho from "Be Still and Know." "It is the quality of being present in this very moment---that is Buddha nature. Not having one's mind travel into the past or future, but relaxing into what is, non-doing and learning to enjoy one's being." C. G. Deuter. One wise man, eh? Rise above--Soar!

Very nice mellow, relaxing album,

I've heard a few Deuter albums and this is the best I've heard so far.
The first track, "Buddha Nature" is 10 min. long and is very good except for the intro with synthesized keyboards. I don't like synthesizers and this music uses them sparingly. I prefer the music when it sounds more natural, with guitars and flutes and such. The 2nd track, "Illumination" is such a track, using guitar and flute (or if it's synthesized instruments, I cannot tell the difference!) and has a nice feel to it, kind of like being in the mountains at sunrise, with beautiful views. It runs almost 28 minutes. The 3rd track, "Amida" is my favorite. It includes cricket sounds in the background, and starts off with some Tibetan Bells, then flute. Reminds me of sitting by a waterfall in a beautiful garden, and if I'm not mistaken the flute is played in the ancient Chinese style. In any case, it gives you the feeling of being in a very special quiet natural place. It runs 9:45. Track 4, "Joyful Path" starts off with a resonating Tibetan bowl (bell) and some wind chimes, over a long resonating bass note. This is the shortest track on the album, at 2:52, and I wish it had been much longer. [I'm a big fan of Tibetan Bowls, and in fact I will here recommend an album of pure Tibetan Bells, no other instruments: "Seven Metals: Singing Bowls of Tibet" by Benjamin Iobst. I have heard Deuter's "Nada Himalaya" Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 - both of which are made up of Tibetan bowls - and, while Deuter's Tibetan bowl sounds are good, I like this "Seven Metals" much better.] "Blessing" is the last track, it runs 6:23, and it uses too much synthesizer for my taste, has that kind of "new agey synth" sound that I don't care for. I could be wrong, but the clarinet-like instrument sounds very synthesized to me, and the whole sound of it is a turn off. Were it not for the over-use of the synthesizer here I would have given this album 5 stars. Except for the beginning of the first track and the entire last track, this is an excellent album!

Radiance and Light,
By perla "Being. Differently." (Planet Earth) - See all my reviews

I have several Deuter CDs and both this one and Garden of the Gods are my favorites. Choosing from my collections of relaxation/spiritual/meditation music, I like to use this one for relaxation and slowing down from a busy, fast-paced day. This music can help me calm down and yet keep my mind alert at the same time. Good for contemplative type of meditating if you want to keep a clear thinking mind in quite time.
I have used this music in my yoga classes and would say that the music evokes feelings of radiance and an inner vision of being filled with lightness and clarity. I have never needed drugs to shift my state of mind and body---all I need is music such as this.

My 3 Month Old Infant Loves It!,

I bought this album to play during the birth of my son. Now, when I play it for my 3 month old daughter, she settles right down for a nice, long nap with Buddha Nature playing in the background. It's so relaxing and peaceful. No wonder she loves it.

Relaxing,
By Atty McQt "Marti" (California) - See all my reviews

I was looking for background music/sounds to relax to. Since there are no repetitive patterns in the music, your mind must relax to listen. It was just what I was looking for to lie down and play softly in the background. Feels like I am getting a "mind massage"!
