One of my favorite CD's. I enjoy playing this very softly while I sleep. I'd recommend it highly for anyone interesed in that, adding soft background music to a shopping place, or even playing it to relax an infant. In fact, I think it would be wonderful for that.

I never have used it for meditation as I do that in silence. I can see easily how this CD could be used for that with great success, but if like some of the others you are looking specifically for a meditation CD I'd suggest shopping around. I believe, however, that anyone who meditates would be delighted to have this music in their collection. In fact, in addition to calling it a spiritual lullaby perhaps one could call it a meditation luxury.

As a recent convert to Buddhism, I can say that this CD has been an important part of my collection. I belong to a Chinese Mahayana Temple here in Japan and both these melodies are familiar to me. Only one of the pieces recorded are what many reviewers are calling "chants" though. The rest are devotional songs sung outside of the temple for lay people to meditate to or to copy out the Heart Sutra in Chinese characters as a meditation practice. I use this CD for that purpose. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in Chinese traditional music, Buddhism, Tai Chi, Qigong etc. Peace

I first heard the CD at a BiKram Yoga studio. I immediately thought it would be an excellent CD for meditation. I bought it and thoroughly enjoy it now.

SOFT AND PEACEFUL, WONDERFUL MUSIC TO RELAX TO. I PLAY IT ALMOST EVERY NIGHT TO LULL ME OFF TO SLEEP. GREAT FOR MEDIATION.

A great cd. The simple chantings bring one's mind out of the daily reality and takes one into the state of peace and tranquility. After a day's work, it calms me down, relaxes both body and mind, cleanses the soul. I can't praise it enough.

I/we first heard this music during a Qi Gong session at Phoenix House Haga. The music added a gentle softness to the session and the sounds flowed beyond the classroom,all the participants wish to buy copies. This music is like meeting a new friend.

What a blissful adventure. The music is delicate, but at the same time it has the power to move the emotions to a deep level of joy and serenity. Ahhhh, I wish I could find a few more like this!

I first heard this music during a Qi Kung session and was totally mesmerized. It has become part of my daily routine to listen to this CD and has added joy, calmness and sense of peace to my former hectic lifestyle. In short, I have slowed down!

This is music for reflection and relaxation from the Far East, and that about says it all. I wanted to hear some different sort of Chants and found this wonderful CD in my personal search. Traditional Buddhist music is acoustic. The recordings on this collection represent the more modern form of the genre presently popular in China and Taiwan, with the singing augmented by reflective keyboards which add to the restful and relaxing nature of the music.

I find this music wonderful for meditation and just what I need to relax and escape from everyday stress. I enjoy listening to these Chants over and over again. Highly recommended.

Songs may be long if you seat and listen to them, however if you use this CD during some activities or training you may find it excellent.
