I've read reviews and forum comments that say something to the effect of, "It's just a rope. It's not worth that much money." Well, it's not just a rope and it is worth the extra dollars. I'll tell you why.

This rope is perfect for beginners because it makes jumping rope easier and safer. And it really motivates you. I have an Everlast rope and simply can't use it. It's too short for me. Moreover, the rope doesn't feel right. But with the Buddy Lee Rope Master Jump rope I am actually learning to jump rope and enjoy it. I can make the rope just the right length for me. And I can adjust it so the swivel is comfortable. It makes jumping fun and easy.

It is designed with an advanced swivel bearing system for high intensity jump rope training and makes jumping easy, effortless and fun. The 9" long handles are designed for both children and adults for easy execution of basic and advanced jumping skills for the serious adult or youth athlete/fitness buff. I especially like the feel of the light weight handles. They're long and easy to control. The rope swivels easily so you don't have to move your arms and hands much.

I do the P.A.C.E and 4-3-2-1 fitness workouts and find the jump rope perfect for the cardio portion. I'll tell you something else, there not a better workout than rope jumping --- at any age or any fitness level. When you do cardio, you need to get your heart rate up and really start breathing hard. Otherwise, you're not making your heart and lungs stronger. Nothing does that better and faster than jumping rope. And this rope is just about the best investment in your health you can make.

When I ordered this jump rope I was thrilled about receiving it. I had done the research, thought I found a real winner....

Let me begin with the good:
1. The rope is fast and the bearing mechanisms at the end of the plastic handles are clever and work well (with a little lubricant as the squeaked when I received it). Unfortunately that is where the good ends.

The bad:
1. The bearing mechanism at the end of the handles were not smooth until I lubricated them, then they moved much quicker and smoother.
2. The plastic handles are ridiculously fragile and you have to be very careful about attaching the bearing tips to each handle or you will crack the handle which are literally egg shell fragile. When I received the rope the bearing ends would get loose every time I used the rope so I had to constantly hand tighten each end until I got home to use the little wrench which was provided. I gently snugged each end down and I mean gently. I was careful not to over-tighten as there is a little washer which helps provide a lock against the nut that is embedded into the plastic handle. That area eventually cracked anyway, very poor engineering and poor quality plastic.
3. The foam padding is too short and slides around on each handle.
4. The PVC rope cord broke in no time and the cost to purchase a lousy piece of cord for this rope is $9.95 plus shipping. Are you kidding me? If you look around you can find alternative replacement cords for a fraction of the cost.
5. Inserting the cord end into the bearing ends and screwing each end into place takes strong fingers and patience. Be careful you don't develop carpal tunnel from the difficulty.

Overall evaluation: Look around and find a better choice for a rope than this. I do not recommend this rope as it is too fragile and has no longevity.

This product enables pure efficiency for jump rope enthusiasts. Forget the awkwardness of imperfect and unbablance ropes, Buddy Lee's product is your solution. This rope is tough, light and fast. If you are an above average jump roper, and you desire to fine tune your skills, get this product. Ever since I bought it, I find using any other rope (leather, beaded, weighted...etc..) as step backwards.

If you are looking for a great rope to do Double Unders, this is it.

I've always been the type that has SUCKED at rope jumping, I've got big feet and the rope is always catching my heels. After about half an hour I was already able to get some pretty good speed and coordination, THIS ROPE WILL MAKE YOU BETTER! This rope is worth it if you're serious about a good quality product. I'm sure you'll hesitate spending this kind of money on a rope, but it's well worth it.

I have skipped with a lot of ropes trying to master double-unders and was unable to until I tried this Rope. You can cut it to fit and it is really fast. I have owned it now for 3 months and love it.

Buddy Lee's jump rope works great for what it was designed for: jumping rope. While technically it is not a rope, its a plastic cord, it performs better than any I have previously used. My previous rope failed and was looking for one that was simple and performed well. I needed a new rope to go with the TRX Bootstrap Ropes and Straps workout, and since Buddy is in the video, I decided to try the one he was using. The handles turn smooth with no binding. It's easy to set up to your correct length - just follow the included instructions and you will be jumping in under five minutes. I have used it indoors and out, with no problems in six months of use. Now I am jumping longer and better than ever.

This is the best jump rope I have used. I am a x fighter so I have done a lot of rope skipping. Easy to adjust and works great.

The "rope" is a PVC cord; really a tube with a tiny inside diameter. Each cord end screws over a threaded post that is inside a metal cup. I hope there are not problems where the cord pulls out of the handle - say when you step on the rope. I think this will be ok because the cup keeps the grip on the cord tight and when you pull on the cord it also tightens on the post like a Chinese finger lock. They put some thought into these.

It looks like the plug in the hollow plastic handles screws out so you could put weight in the handles. 'haven't tried it. I'm hoping the handles never crack.

The Buddy Lee website has a note on the page where you buy replacement cords that you should call him for a better shipping deal(better than $15).

If the cord stays put in the handles, dropping the handles never cracks them, and you can afford these; they look like a good way to go. I'll be surprised if they don't hold up because I think the design has been very well thought out.

I was skeptical about paying this much for a jump rope. But I immediately doubled the number of consecutive jumps I could perform. Adjusting the length is simple. Handles are very comfortable and allow precise control. This is the Rolls Royce of jump ropes!
