A kid can open it with some scissors. If you seriously think about security, don't buy this box. This is just cheap metal box, nothing else. Its lock is a joke.

My wife runs a youth activity that uses sponsorships. One day she called me because some checks had been misplaced. So I picked this up. It fits neatly into a desk drawer and she can just slide the checks through the check opening slit in the top. She's happy! 5 stars for anything that can do that!
3/18/09 For the record, we liked this so much, we just purchased a second box to use for our household use. Checkbooks, stamps, coins to roll, checks waiting to deposit.
