Normally I get a little sick to my stomach with "trashy", "loose" music..

But this complilation(and record label) is incredible.

This isnt the easist thing to blast at a childrens birthday party, but if your hanging around with people that appreciate all types of "rock" music, this works great.

Intense, savage rough bands like The Icarus Line, and Your Enemies Friends. Not the cleanest, most friendly music. But you can tell that these guys know what there doing. Great Tunes!

Then you have some softer, more radio'able catchy tunes like Radio Vago, Burning Brides, and Text. Everyone can appreciate this stuff.

Then there is stuff like SHAT, Gayrilla Biscuits. I cant even explain this music... Its hilarious, Shat for example. Each of the 2 featured songs only use one lyrical phrase throughout the duration of the song.. But, the phrases themsleves.. Plus the actual "music".. very entertaining


OH, i almost forgot . there is a whole bunch of prank phone calls recorded on here.. Sure, prank calls have been done.. But every single one of these is music/label/band related. Such as a guy calling up trying to get The explosions manager to sign them onto the "Jack Daniels" stage, which is outside in the parking lot... and they dont get to bring any tour buses.. and the band has to pay for it. Also, the VP of Ben and jerrys trying to get a contract worked out with them for they exclusive flavor "Tenacious D'elicious"... Many a cheesy references to the ganja, and being fat, Classy stuff!


If you have even an ounce of musical bravery, get this CD set. Its not expensive, and its great, both discs..
