5.0 out of 5 stars Quirky and absorbing January 11, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
From the get-go this superbly titled book plunges into the world of the undead with a new spin. Lucky and her friend Vicki have taken over her dead uncle’s body moving service. Equipped with a real, honest to God, hearse they try to do their job of moving bodies until they find themselves in the midst of a vampire killing spree that somehow all relates to Lucky’s family and her missing father. Both Lucky and Vicki are likeable characters and quickly draw us into the story. One aspect of the book I enjoyed was how different vampires are portrayed as having distinct personalities and regrets, especially Austin. The ending is perfect for a sequel. Will Lucky turn into a Buffy-type character, or perhaps find a cure for the disease of vampirism? That is or the next story to tell!

Wow.. Great Book! Highly recommended and I wish I had actually read this book sooner! I really, really struggled to put this book down.. it was an absolute blast! Very interesting read, insanely fun! And what I loved the most was that it wasn't as predictable as some of the other similar books out there!

Highly recommended and I give this a 5 star review!

Budget Body Movers, if the title alone doesn't get you the story itself will. It is a very good read everything flows the way a story should, I have to say it was a page turner for me, I didn't want to put it down until I finished it.

4.0 out of 5 stars no sparkling vampires October 15, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Lucky lost her father as a child. Now, after the loss of her mother and uncle she has taken over the family business, budget body movers. At the same time, a number of murders occur. In each case, the body is drained of blood. Lucky meets Douglas at a local club. He is in town trying to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance several months earlier. The book is not a serial and is complete, albeit with an opening for a sequel. It is a good solid story that I would recommend. It is not overly steamy or sexually graphic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read! March 1, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this book. I took it on a trip to New Orleans, thinking I would read a few pages on the plane and at the airport, but I quickly became hooked. I found myself making excuses to stop at a little coffee shop so I could read. The characters are engaging. I look forward to the next book in the series.

More About the Author

Hillary Stone grew up in a small town where her mother was the librarian at the city library. She always loved to read and dreamed of being a writer when she grew up.

Life quickly flew by and before she realized it, she was retiring after twenty-five years of public school teaching.

But, Hillary's dream never died, nor did her interest in the paranormal. Determined to fulfill her goal of becoming a writer, she wrote "Budget Body Movers". The idea for the book came to her over twenty years ago when she saw a black hearse, piled full of rock and roll albums, being given away on Halloween night. She didn't win the contest, but the idea for "Budget Body Movers" was born.

Hillary now lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband. She is hard at work on the second book in the Blood Circle Series. She would love to hear from you and can be reached at
