Excellent value for the money, exceeded all my expectations,
By I have another 3B Scientific model of the brain that was around $200.00 and this model is comparable in most ways! I would say that makes it a real bargain, especially when the other one doesn't show the arteries and this one does. I don't think you can go wrong with this, especially if you are a high school or college student. If you are medical student, you may want to get one of the better models from 3B Scientific or the Anatomical Chart Company. Both of these vendors sell on Amazon.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I needed a model for better illustrating the parts of the brain affected by drugs and alcohol. This model serves the purpose, but it is pretty hard to take apart and harder to put together. It seems to be made of a rubbery plastic substance and is held together by very small diam. threaded rod rather than smooth steel rod. This is why it comes apart hard, but, in all fairness, it does stay together quite well...good for passing around a room full of people. If I had a bigger budget, I would spend more on a labeled version that snaps together more acurately, but I don't and this works well enough for now. I may label it myself.
