I was disappointed with this book. The money-saving advice is pretty obvious stuff -- use amateur photographers, have the wedding in a park, make your own dress, etc. I did like the examples in the back of the book of real-life budget weddings. Overall, however, I think that the useful parts of this book -- including the real-life examples -- could fit into a 3-page brochure.

I loved this book! I was getting really stressed about my wedding until I read it. It put everything into perspective, from start to finish, and helped us have everything we wanted without going broke. It includes hundreds of ideas that we would never have thought of. The "real life brides" chapter was great and it helped to know that we were not alone in wanting (needing)to keep the costs low. Best of all, it's written in such a fun, down to earth way that I immediately stopped worrying and got on with enjoying the experience of planning my wedding. I recommend this book to everyone.

It's about time a book like this was written! I'm planning my own wedding right now, and all the other books and magazines I've read keep telling me that I have to spend $20,000 or more to do it right. This book has many great ideas, but best of all, it's written in a way that reassures us that yes, it's OK to not spend a small fortune...the etiquette ploice will NOT hunt us down! It has given me the inspiration to plan the budget wedding I want, and not the three-ring circus other people think I should have. And my fiance agrees 100%! Thanks for a great book!

This book gives examples of how to cut wedding costs. I would gladly give it to anyone who was thinking of getting married. It really helped me plan everything out. It gives tons of hints and economical ways to budget time and money.

Di Kivi's book was filled with absolutely the best information on budget weddings that I have found. I loved that her ideas and suggestions sparked my own creativity and gave me ideas for creating a beautiful and budget conscience wedding that was meaningful to me and my husband. This is a realistic book with fresh ideas that can really be used to save money-no matter how much you plan to spend, while still enabling you to have the wedding of your dreams.

I especially enjoyed chapter 14 (real life budget brides), it really helped reading how couples used the budget system and still had the day they wanted.

I loved it- reading this book is like chatting with your best friend. A must read for any bride to be who wants to stay debt free.

This book was great for sharing tips on how to have a beautiful, but very inexpensive wedding. It was also very flexible because everything she mentioned, it was suggestions in which you can come up with your own ideas for your wedding. I would suggest this book for any bride, no matter how much she's spending.
