There are few things that get kids more excited than getting out the construction paper, crayons/markers, pipe cleaners (still some of the coolest gizmos ever), scissors, and glue. When you are using them all to create a simple craft with your child that you remember from growing up, you'll be just as excited as they are! The simple crafts and activities in this great book are ones that will keep your kids engaged and happy using materials you have stashed away in a drawer somewhere or ever might have in a craft tub, but the kids still do not use them because they prefer an activity where they interact with and have some guidance from you. It's time to bring those materials out now and have some family fun! As a parent and former elementary school teacher, I can vouch that these are terrific, simple-to-make crafts and activities for every holiday/season--just what every child (and parent) wants and needs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and easy crafting e-book April 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I was looking for some activities to do with my nieces who love art projects, and this one really fits the bill. I'm not very creative myself, so I loved the ease of the concepts and instructions. Can't beat the price either!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple ideas that really are do-able. April 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Not only are these craft ideas easy to follow and simple enough to actually pull off with a modern-day-media-bound kid, but they are great starting points for those artistic types that need just a nudge to get the creative juices flowing. A cool side-bene is the nostalgic blast-from-the-past of crafts like the 4rth of July lanterns. It feels like passing on a tradition, while reliving childhood memories via the feel of creasing construction paper.

This ebook is a great reminder of those fun little crafts that many of us did in kindergarten and grade school, but have long since forgotten. They're great crafts - they all take common items like construction paper, paper bags, etc. and they're simple for young children and even non-crafty moms and dads! This is a great reference tool for spring break, summer break, or other holidays - or any time the kids cry "I'm Bored!". Even older children could read the book on their own and choose crafts to do. Love it.

More About the Author

Tia Hain was born in Portland, OR in 1970. After high school, she pursued her dream of becoming an actress. It turned into starving actress, but that's ok. She decided to go after something else, and in the process, has worn many different hats in her life. Literally and figuratively. From actress to waitress to caption editor to accountant to wife and mom to web content specialist to author. There's more, but let's not take up the whole page. She has been running Max and Mum Kids' Activities since 2011. She was inspired by her young son, Max, to make video tutorials of crafts and activities for parents/caregivers to do with children. There is just too much fun to be had.

In addition, she has also been running Glugle Gluten-Free since 2009. Having to go gluten-free for health reasons prompted here to write about her trials, tribulations and eventually joys of being gluten-free. For her, it is not a WANT to but a HAVE to. So, she learned how to make it fun and tasty.
