You need a good map when traveling, not a bunch of ads,

Although some of the pricing and address information on this edition of the Nat Geo map of Buenos Aires is out of date, this is still a much better hard copy map to work with than the free maps you get from hotels or gift shops -- those are mostly ways to sell advertising. This map is clear, easy to read, and covers the area relevant for tourist visits. Some of the many points of interest are listed, but some are not, so be sure to also have a guidebook and/or smartphone map close to hand, as well. The transportation bible for the city is a booklet called the Guia 'T' which lists all the bus routes and has a map grid system that let's you get as detailed or as general as needed. Buy it from news stands (Diarios). The Nat Geo map is good for getting oriented but the Guia T gets down to the nitty gritty.
