This review is from: Buffalo Bill and the Indians : or Sitting Bull's history lesson ; suggested by the play "Indians" written by Arthur Kopit (Paperback)
This is a review for the Bantam paperback edition of the Robert Altman film,
BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS. The book is credited to Alan Rudolph, the movie's
screenwriter and Robert Altman, the film's director.

This pocket size edition contains over thirty photographs from the film,
plus a screenstory and the screenplay by Alan Rudolph and Robert Altman himself.

I think it should be mentioned that this paperback of BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS
was published before there was a home video industry so back then one way to recreate your film going experience would have been to read and perhaps savor this book.
Reading this little pocketbook edition does not exactly duplicate the experience of actually watching the film but it is a reminder of the enjoyment one might
have received from BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS, a sort of souvenir of the filmgoing
experience.

I rate this paperback of BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS four stars.
