Also, the print quality of the pieces are very good.

The photo has enough variation in color, texture, and piece shape to keep my interest.

This 2000-piece puzzle of Neuschwanstein Castle was a lot of fun to put together. In fact, it was hard for me to get up from the table when I was working on it! It provided many challenges without being excessively complex.

The photo is beautiful, and the pieces are cut nice and they fit together well. The photo has enough variation in color, texture, and piece shape to keep my interest.

At 39 x 27 inches it's rather large, which means you need a good-sized table to work on. And actually, the completed puzzle measured about 1/2 inch wider and taller than the dimensions given on the box.

We glued the finished puzzle together and hung it on the wall. Looks pretty good.

Wow this puzzle was a big step up in difficulty from the 1000 piece puzzles I've worked before. The castle went together easily, but the rest of the puzzle takes a lot of work because the colors are so similar. I was about ready to throw in the towel but persevered and realize that I'll be able to complete it. After all the work I plan to mount it on foamboard as it's a beautiful scene.

Also the all the pieces are interlocking so the puzzle stays in place. A quality fold out picture is included. Note that you will need a big workspace.

Edit: I finished the puzzle and it feels like quite an accomplishment. I read that a puzzle is 4 times harder for every double in piece count. Kudo's to Buffalo Games - the pieces are well cut and interlock tightly. There is enough variation in the pieces to use shape to find the right piece (it's hard to use color/image in this puzzle).

I bought this puzzle a few years ago, intending to finish it within a few months, but only completed the border and castle before having to pack it up for well over a year. The pieces were generally sturdy and had snug fit, none were missing. This was my first go at a 2000 piece and while it was a rather enjoyable puzzle, I did find it occasionally frustrating. The sea of greenery ate up a lot of time. When I found the time to finish the puzzle, aside from the border and castle, it took about a month of irregular work to finish the sky, mountains, and forest.

I'm pleased with the physical quality of the product though it's not my favorite picture of that castle. The enlarged fold-out poster is a wonderful bonus that I wish other manufacturers would pick up on. I already have another Buffalo Games 2000 piece and look forward to completing more in the future. I hope they expand their 4000 piece line as well.

I'm still working on this 3 months later... but then again, I am a full-time student. I really like having a project puzzle to work on here and there, and am not at all put off by difficulty. As far as I'm concerned, once I'm finished, it's worthless. It's the journey, not the destination, or whatever.

The pieces are VERY uniform (notably unlike Springbok puzzles, which I also enjoy, but which often contain highly irregular shapes), to the point of sometimes thinking two fit together when they didn't. The upside of this is that the ones that are supposed to interlock fit together PERFECTLY. So there's no wondering once you find a match.

If you're up for the challenge, don't be dissuaded by the complaints of it being too hard. Yeah, it's really hard--I'm having a ton of fun. ALMOST done.

Always a great castle to have a puzzle made from, the only downside is the puzzle comes with loose pieces inside the box. I have not done a puzzle by Buffalo games yet, the jury is out on piece durability, although they look sturdy enough. As is typical of a 2000 piece puzzle, it will measure 28" x 36" when finished.

This 2000-piece Neuschwanstein Castle is really fun -- the castle itself was really fun to put together. The picture is beautiful, but there are a few areas that can prove to be frustrating. The sky and the surrounding forest are definitely much more difficult that the center castle.

These difficult areas resulted in (what felt like) hours worth of sorting and trial-and-error. Because these pieces are so standard, many of the jig-saw patterns look to be repeated. Aside from these areas, the background mountains/hills can be hard to differentiate. You can probably tell from the product images whether or not you will have a hard time with this.

Good fun though!

This product comes in incredible quality. The pieces are very resistent to puzzling. Also, the print quality of the pieces are very good.

I got this for my wife who loves doing puzzles in the cold winter months. She said that she really liked this one. The image is nice. The only complaint is that the sky/clouds/mountains are somewhat bland shades of blue compared to the colorful foreground. I told her about the same castle but in the winter time (lots of snow) and she thought that it would be fun too.
