In Imaginiff, each question is about a specific person in the group, and usually reads something like, "Imaginiff Player A was a type of ____. Which of the following would he/she be?" Everyone picks an answer from the 6 choices listed on the card, and everyone who picked the most popular answer advances on the board.
This game is very fun to play if you have the right crowd. The "right crowd" clause is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Firstly, the game can technically be played with 3 to 8 players (or teams). However, because of the mechanics of the game, the closer you have to 8, the better the game is. In fact, I can't see this game being that enjoyable with only 3 players. You need to put 8 names on the game board, and they need to be 8 people that the majority of the players know. Sure, you can use celebrities, but voting on questions about people in the room is what makes this game so great. Secondly, most of the people in the room should know each other. Otherwise, the voting process breaks down as everyone picks the stereotypical answer or just makes a random guess. That being said, this is a fun, light-hearted, easy to play game for a good-sized gathering of family or friends.

It is hard to find a good party game these days, but this one delivers!! Best played in a group of 4 or more, very interesting questions and answers, you'll learn a lot about the other players and laugh a lot in the process!!

I think this game is great, the more people you have the more fun it is? if you play it to many times though it can get a little boring. in this game you laugh alot, it really is for 12 and up though it would be pretty hard to understand and get the funniness of it anyways almost every time i play i enjoy it.

I purchased this game from Amazon. It was a used game. It looked brand new when I recieved it, except for one corner on the lid that was worn away. This game is enlightening, funny and lots of fun to play. It is more fun the more that play. Up to 8 people can play the game. You could even do partners if you wanted more to play. It is very simple to learn to play it. The rules are simple to understand and follow. Everyone that has played this game with me has loved it.You can learn about each others likes and dislikes and sometime someone's answer would surprise you.

This is a great game to play with a small group, no more than 8 people. This is a great ice-breaker game, it allows you to get to know your competitors quickly (and to use your imagination). Some of the questions are so random, it adds humor to the game. I love it! And itch to play!

I've played this game with my friends and with a group of teenagers I help with. It is a very fun game. You get to personalize it every time you play. There is a marker that you write everyone's name in and then play from there. It is fun to see what people come up with when imagining different situations. Here is an example:
if _________ were a dog what type would he/she be? 1. dalmation 2. beagle 3. great dane 4. yorkie 5, hyeana 6. mutt It is super fun, just don't take it too personally. We really enjoy it.

If you could choose a characteristic for your children, which would it be? Honesty? Sense of Humor? Natural athleticism? Or perhaps superior intellect? You may know the answer, but can others guess correctly out of a list of 6 choices? Can you correctly guess about others? Get to know yourself and others better in this fun and educational game that will certainly get you thinking and talking!
At the beginning of the game, eight names are chosen to play with. These usually include the names of those playing, as well as some extras. Some humorous extras that have been chosen in past games I have played have included " "President Bush," "Jesus," and "Hitler." You are free to choose whatever names you wish, and these are the people that you will be answering questions about. Once you have selected the names, the fun begins! The player whose turn it is rolls the dice (to determine who the question will pertain to) and draws a card from the deck. They read it to the group, substituting the name rolled for the blank one. For example, "If Hannah were a circus performer, which would she be? 1) Clown 2) Trapeze Artist 3)Lion Tamer 4) Juggler 5) Fire Eater or 6) Performing Poodle." All players then select a number from the six choices and put it face down. At the count of three everyone reveals their numbers, and the most popular is the winning one. People who selected this number get to move their tokens forward a space. Whoever reaches the finish line first is the winner! Very straightforward. Very fun! One thing I might caution about Imaginiff: It's not very fun among people who don't know each other. In my opinion, this is not an icebreaker game, or a game that is fun for people new to the group. It is much better among those who are at least casual acquaintances. Keep ImaginIff reserved for friends and family if you want everyone playing to have a fulfilling experience. Other than that, though, it's a great game. I love ImaginIff. Perhaps it is because I consider myself to have natural intuition about people. Or perhaps it is just because I love thinking about and getting to know other people better. Whatever the reason,I thoroughly enjoy it! I played it with my family last week (it was my dad's first time) and they really enjoyed it. It has great potential to strengthen bonds and draw people into conversation. I am bringing it to our family vacation this weekend, where I am sure we will have a great time getting to know each other better. I highly recommend this game! This is one of my all-time favourite board games. It's a good "getting-to-know-you" game, but I'd say it's even more fun with a family or group of close friends. It definitely requires a good deal of imagination and a sense of humor... This game involves putting labels on people that might surprise or embarrass them, but it's all in good fun.
A group begins play by writing names of different people around the board. You could choose to write the names of anybody the entire group knows of, but it's more fun when you write down the players' names, and names of family and friends. Throughout game play, the marker will land on the various names and a card is then drawn. The card asks a question such as "If ____ were a circus act, which would (s)he be?" The question is followed by a series of multiple choise answers. After each player decides which circus act the chosen person would be, the players share their answers. Laughter and conversation usually ensues, and in the end, nobody really cares who's winning. I would recommend it for older children and adults, simply because younger kids might not understand the rules very well.
