5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, excellent value!
I was looking for a network attached storage system with a small footprint and low power requirement that was RAID1 configurable. The Buffalo unit exceeded my expectations - it was easy to install on my network of 4 computers and I'm well satisfied with its performance and ease of use. Well done!

1.0 out of 5 stars Lack of Support
OSX Lion was announced about a year ago now, BUFFALO failed to work on a firmware update even though Apple released the OS to developers months before it's launch. So if you intend to buy this product for the TIME MACHINE feature on your MAC, well you my friend are SOL.
So what's worse then misleading advertising on the box and on Amazon (that clearly states Time...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lack of Support, September 9, 2011
This review is from: Buffalo Technology LinkStation Mini 1 TB (2 x 500 GB) Compact Network Attached Storage LS-WSX1.0TL/R1 (Personal Computers)
OSX Lion was announced about a year ago now, BUFFALO failed to work on a firmware update even though Apple released the OS to developers months before it's launch. So if you intend to buy this product for the TIME MACHINE feature on your MAC, well you my friend are SOL.
So what's worse then misleading advertising on the box and on Amazon (that clearly states Time Machine Compatible)? The fact that this item may not even get the firmware update needed because it's an older model. Yep, I just got off the phone with their tech support and that's the message they gave me.
So let me ge this straight, I bought this item in the Spring, used it for about 3 months at which point I updated my PC to Lion and now I have nothing more then a paper weight?! BUFFALO you've seen my last dollar. Looking though their forums you'll find many whom unlike me don't use this for their home, instead they rely on BUFFALO to provide their business with back ups and server needs. I can't even imagine the costs, damages and headaches they must be going through.

If you're still interested in this model leave a message, I'd like to get rid of this paper weight.

1.0 out of 5 stars Memeo Software Fail, November 23, 2010
Do not, repeat do not buy this because MEMEO software is the most intrusive software I have ever seen. I spent 1 day having to remove it from my system - DANGER

1.0 out of 5 stars It Crashed in 8 months, April 16, 2011

This is a crap product.
My Link Station Mini Crashed in 8 months. Nas Navigator goes not show it. Firmware updater does not show it as well. Called up technical support since the product was under warranty. They said they will give a new drive but they cannot restore my data. They said I have to call a data recovery company to recover any data.
DO NOT BUY this product at all.
