Nice book. It starts right after the first in the series -_The lost Wagon Train_-. I liked all of the characters: Retta, her parents, her brothers, and all her friends, everybody except Tall Owl. Since this is more of a children's book, I wished Retta's sister had a more positive role. It leaves you with the feeling that it is ok to lie to your parents. However, this was better than the first. This one will keep you on the edge of your seat.
