I played a Buffet Prestige for 5 years and I prefer it to any other bass clarinet I have played, including the Selmer Privilege. I prefer the darker sound the Buffet has, in addition to a more ergonomic placement of keys. I also disliked some of the extra keys on the Privilege, a few were redundant and not needed. The Buffet Prestige is used by professionals all over the world, and is worth every penny.
