4.0 out of 5 stars Actually, this would be the "before" version of Willow from "Chosen", September 20, 2007
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Action Figure "Chosen" Willow (Toy)
A friend of mine, who shall remain nameless except to say that she is a Top 10 Amazon reviewer, once tried to reduce my interest in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" to a simple crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the title character. I immediately responded that any such impulse, romantic or otherwise, would be directed towards Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg, Buffy's best bud. So the fact that I have way more Willow figures than Buffy figures does not bother me, although from a marketing standpoint I have to wonder why there are both Willow figures than Buffy figures (there are more Spike figures than Buffy figures too, but that I understand; it is the more Willow than Spike that puzzles me). I just buy all of them and therefore never have to pick and choose.

This would be the "before" version of Willow from "Chosen," the final episode of "BtVS," because there is also a White Witch Willow figure in this final quartet of Diamond Select Toys deluxe figures. After Willow uses her wicca powers on the scythe that Buffy freed from a chunk of stone two episodes earlier, the white magick not only spreads the power of the Slayer from the weapon to all of the Potentials in the Hellmouth and around the world, it turns Willow's hair white; hence, White Witch Willow (which means she is a good witch and not a bad witch). The "Chosen" Willow looks as much like Alyson Hannigan as any of the other Willow figures in my massive but no longer growing collection. There are 29 points of articulation and to save you the bother of counting them they would be a double one for the neck, shoulders, biceps, above and below the elbows, doubles for the wrists, chest, doubles for the hips, both above and blow the knees, doubles for the ankles, and toes. For accessories the figure comes with the scythe in question, a laptop computer, and a nice assortment of five candles (which are not based on the candles Willow used to work her big spell in "Chosen").

Also included in this series, which as of this date is scheduled to be the last one of "BtVS" and "Angel" figures from DST, are deluxe action figures of Kendra from Season 2's "Becoming" and a "Chosen" Kennedy. Some comment could be made regarding what can be done if you were to get both "Chosen" Willow and "Chosen" Kennedy, but then the last time there was a series of Willow figures produced there were several Tara versions as well, so that ground has already been covered. Still, these are deluxe figures and not regular figures, so all of the additional points of articulation could prove to be particularly inspirational. The Buffy Collector's Club has put together a list of proposed action figures that they could commission from DST as exclusive products to their store, so they might not be the end of the line, and guess what? They have proposed two more Willow figures ("Halloween" Willow and "Tough Love" Willow), but only one more Buffy figure ("The Gift" 100th Commemorative Buffy). My only question is whether the "Halloween" Willow comes with a sheet to go her sexy outfit.

I bought this toy for christmas. Right when I opened it she was fine not loose at all. But when I took the scythe out it broke.
