"Buffy" looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar but play carefully.,

This is the main figure in this inital quartet representing the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series. For one thing, this figure comes a lot closer to looking like Sarah Michelle Gellar than most action figures do for their human counterparts. There is nice texturing to the hair, decent eye makeup, a cross, and fingernails as well as an assortment of rings. Her black jacket is accurately rendered, but I could do without the little white amoeba thingies all over her jeans. Buffy comes with a crossbow, a knife and a couple of stakes, as well as a BtVS stand. These figures definitely go into the pretty to look at but be careful when you play with them category. I have had two Buffy figures and when I went to pose them with the crossbow the arms snapped off at the elbow. I superglued the second one rather than keep sending them back and it sits on the windowsill where I have all four figures posed in a nice tableau. For fans of the television series, these are worth having, even if there only educational value is to remind you of what was happening during the show's first season. Hopefully there will be a second set that brings us additional figures rather than just updating the looks of the characters.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figures,

My 9 year old daughter has all four figures (Buffy, Angel, Willow & the Master). Within days of having them various figure's arms had snapped off at the elbow. We went through the usual return/replacement procedure, but it became so regular that my husband started fixing them himself with a Q-tip pushed through the hole in the elbow and melted at the end. If your child doesn't mind multi-coloured elbow joints this method still allows movement and avoids the tears-and-return-to-the-shop trauma. Durability gets a minus (pre-Q-tip repair)but if you have a Buffy fan, they get a 10 for enjoyment factor.

I have been a fan of the show for a while now. I collect buffy memorabilia and I have recently found out about the action figures. I have a fair amount and I am very pleased. This Buffy figure shares a common likeness to Sarah Michelle Gellar. I am fond of the weaponry and am fond of the articulation of the figure. The only thing I am not so happy about is the durability of the figure. The arms fall off fairly easily, but the figure is still pretty durable at the same time. Since the show has ended now, this figure would be a good thing to have. Whether a Buffy fan, or new to the show, this figure is a must-have.

Fair Likeness, Awesome Sculpt,

Clayburn Moore knew what he was doing when he sculpted the first ever figure of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Although the face of the figure doesn't compare to the actual beauty of Sarah Michelle Gellar, it fairs well. The articulation is short on it though. Just some elbow and leg joints. That's not bad to me, since I keep my figures in the blister card and display them. The clothing on the figure also captures the style of Buffy in season one, and so does the hair. All in all, the Series I Buffy figure is a great sculpt.

If you are going to buy one should get all the characters that you enjoyed during the series. Still looking for Xander and Clem.
