This review is from: Bug Off 72 by 80 Instant Screen, Reversible Fits French Doors and 12-Foot Sliding Glass Doors (Lawn & Patio)
We got a Bug Off Reversible French Door Screen for our 6' patio doors. It was indeed easy to install. Just a tension rod at the top and a couple of Velcro fasteners on the sides.
While it keeps out a lot of flying things (bees, birds, bats, etc.) mosquitoes have no problem finding the gaps at night. It's pretty hard to completely eliminate any small openings at the bottom and they are enough to allow those bloodsucking demons to make your life a living hell. We're on the water so, to be fair to Bug Off, we may have more of a problem than locations other than "Skeeterville". Our doors open in and the right hand door from the inside is our primary door. (I know... it's a left hinged door for the illuminated few that understand that backwards builder sort of talk.<g>) It IS reversible, but, to have the opening on that side it means the short flap on the right opens out and the long flap is on the inside. (They maybe should've had the opening closer to the center.) So??? What the heck is the difference you moron??? Well, I started to try a mechanical explanation, but it was getting too long and convoluted. Let it suffice to say the flaps keep getting reversed so that the magnets are no longer facing each other. Also, at the top where the flaps now cross they force themselves apart enough so they don't close tight. I know it sounds like such a silly, minor thing, but every time you go in or out you have to straighten the flaps or you'll have gaps. Skeeter gaps. (We don't need no steenking skeeter gaps!) It gets old and that makes me cranky. I should mention I'M old, so maybe THAT makes me cranky. Could be EVERYTHING makes me cranky, but that's another story for another venue. One last little thing is that the more robust users (e.g. kids and tough-guys) will pull the tension rod down so, if you are not at least a little easy on it, you will have to keep adjusting the rod or putting it back up. I don't mean to make it sound like a piece of crap because it's not. It's very useful if you need a temporary screen and you can move it in seconds to anyplace it's needed. For a more permanent situation such as ours, though, we will be getting real screen doors as soon as possible. In the meantime, it is okay for a quick fix and not prohibitively priced. We paid $53.77 at SmartHome on Amazon in June 2010. They sent it out very quickly and we had it up just a few days after we ordered it.

Bug Off Instant Screen Door - 72" Reversible - Fits doorways 71"-73"
First glance, came in a box not much bigger than a baseball bat... Nicely packaged. The screen material was much softer and heavier than expected. The first step was to roll out the bar to the correct size and put on the screen. Pushed it up and I was almost done! I waited a day to let it flatten out and hooked up the bottom of the screen and it looks good. My neighbor has a retractable screen, this is what my wife wanted... So this was about $730 less.. NOTE: this does not look as good as a $800 retractable screen but cost a lot less!! SO I will take my money difference and still keep the bugs out...

Arrived in record time, took only minutes to put it up, and an hour or so before my dogs figured it out.
The screen is very handy on any size door, mine is on my French doors and fits perfect, we wont have a house full of flies this summer as the dogs go in and out.
