5 stars if it wasn't saddled with the Amazing Engine system, February 6, 1999

I really, really like the background to this setting. The plight of the synthetic humans ("Synners"), who are really clones, and the oppressive, horrific feel to this is worth the price. Go find it. Now. Adapt it to ANY OTHER game system.

A dark Space Marine RPG with emphasis on horror., March 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Bughunters Game (Amazing Engine RPG) (Paperback)
This game is one of the best. It easily can stand alone, or go together along with the rest of the Amazing Engine Game System series. The protagonists that you play in this game are the Synthetic Humans, clones of people on Earth, complete with the original memories of the person they are derived from. The "Synners" (Synthetic Humans) also know that they can never go back.
The game system emphasizes combat, horror, and the difference between cloned humans and regular humans. Easier to use than most systems, and more able to give you what you want with a small chance that you won't get it, the Amazing Engine System works well with Bughunters. If you're a fan of "Starship Troopers" or other Space Marine books or movies, I highly suggest looking into purchasing a copy of this game.
