The three singles released to American country radio were Mama's little baby loves me, The walk and One less pony, although only one of them - The walk - did well enough to merit an appearance on subsequent hit compilations. Nevertheless, this is a great album with a rootsy edge to it - not as slick as some Sawyer Brown albums. All the songs are originals, being written or co-written by lead singer Mark Miller.Although essentially an upbeat, rocking album, there is plenty of variation, the slower songs including Still water, a love song featuring Donna McElroy as duet singer. Donna is one of those singers who appear as backing singer on other people's albums, but here she gets a higher profile than usual. One song, My baby drives a Buick, may not be politically correct - it demonstrates a lack of faith in the ability of female drivers - but the singer tells us that being a passenger is his way of getting thrills, but I'm not sure he meant it. Anyway, Sawyer Brown never meant their music to be taken seriously (back then, anyway) - it's just for fun. This is a great Sawyer Brown album. If you enjoy rocking, upbeat, country music, you'll love Sawyer Brown.

"Buick" is one of Sawyer Brown's best albums. "Superman's Daughter" is awesome...the songs are upbeat and great listening. You don't have to be a country fan to enjoy Sawyer Brown. They just do not dissapoint.
