About the Author

Jay Storer began working for Petersen Publishing in 1969 as an editor for Hot Rod books, and Rod & Custom magazine. He then founded a successful advertising agency that specialized in the automotive and street rod industries.

He has also written automotive books for S-A Design, dozens of repair manuals for Haynes Publications, and continues to write freelance articles and books about his lifelong passion for hot rods. He lives in California.

Street Rodder Magazine is owned by Primedia Enterprises. With over 50 publications and a combined readership of nearly 20 million, they are currently the largest automotive specialty magazine publisher in the world.
