Networking can be intimidating. This book is filled with easy, actionable suggestions on how to create and expand your professional network. One easy tip from the book: Say "YES" to invitations! The power of "YES" should not be undervalued.

Mike fabulously outlines a strategy for becoming a master networker. Whether you've been networking for years or have yet to start, this book will help you navigate the sometimes awkward waters of making worthwhile connections. As a somewhat experienced networker myself, I learned many new strategies and tips that I can't wait to start applying. Grab this book and get started!

Mike put together a great manual here, and not only outlines the "how", but importantly touches on the need for "intentionality". Coming up with the endgame of your networking efforts is up to you, but understanding the "why" of the mechanics of getting there is covered well.

Easily one of the best books on how to build a network and maintain that network. There's a lot of advice out there on the subject--this book distills it for you in a practical and enjoyable manner. Definite thumbs up!

As I flipped the pages, I found a lot of useful and wonderful information and reminders, even as a long time connector/ networker myself. The only reasons I put four stars instead of five is because I shot just information but entire paragraphs repeated occasionally and a tiny about of bad grammar (repeating words)
However, I would recommend this book both to those who don't have a lot of experience with networking and for those who do.

Compared to other networking books such as Never Eat Alone, this one was a bit weaker in its tips and layout. Found typos and repetitive statements, especially toward the end.

This publication provides the reader with real hands-on advice about how to find - or create - a job in the business world. But quite frankly, the advice given applies to just about any profession in terms of ways in which to network, the modalities available for these purposes, the appropriate settings, and the positive and persistent (but undemanding) attitude. I found this book to be invaluable to those who are just starting out or who are young and want to move up in their profession. The author outlines practical steps to take and the reasoning behind them to identify solid opportunities and to expand upon the contact pool for present and future references. It's easy and enjoyable to read and my impression is that it would be quite valuable to all those young people currently on the job market. Dr. Diana Launse
