5.0 out of 5 stars A great addition to the collection
If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, a gear head, have an active bike building project or just thinking about one this is a great book to have as part of your collection. The book is geared, no pun intended, to the beginner but regardless of your level of experience it has some great tips to think of when doing a project, especially, as the book is focused on when you are...

4.0 out of 5 stars Basic guideline for your project., May 5, 2010
This review is from: How to Build a Bobber on a Budget (Motorbooks Workshop) (Paperback)
This will give the bobber builder some ideas that they can incorporate into their own projects. This isn't a detailed instruction manual just an overview of the process on a few of the author's builds. You have to supply your own imagination on your project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Birthday Present, September 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How to Build a Bobber on a Budget (Motorbooks Workshop) (Paperback)
I bought this book as a birthday present for my boyfriend who has bought a bike and is interested in turning it into a bobber. I remembered he had mentioned this title once and was pleased to find it on Amazon. Since he's had it he hasn't put it down! The book is full of pictures, and has a practical layout, so that you can either read it cover-to-cover (like he has!) or just go to the relevant sections you're interested in. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in bobbers who is something of a novice to the whole thing, as a book to give you some new ideas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mechanical smorgasbord..., March 29, 2011

The description of the book says it all. If you have the desire to build it, this book will show you how. Not in the literal sense of how to weld, machine parts and pound metal shapes, that would be another book altogether. But is does go through the process and how to salvage used, eclectic parts for your project. The pictures are glossy and well described, the ideas useful and the process brilliant. Now to find a knuckle head to start my project...

Very highly recommended if you like old school bobbers

Well done Jose de Miguel

Not impressed with the details. It gives some valuable information, but was not the "how to " book I was looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars How To build A Bobber, November 19, 2008
This review is from: How to Build a Bobber on a Budget (Motorbooks Workshop) (Paperback)
I really don't have a review, as the book I purchased is a Christmas gift. My son had it on his wish list, as he had a chance to see it in a store and liked what he saw and asked for it.
