5.0 out of 5 stars It's good, but..., July 18, 2004
By P. T. J. (Detroit MI) - See all my reviews
Of course it's good, it's great! It's Royce! And it's cool to have the extra tracks on the import version, but the original "Build and Destroy" (which is considerably cheaper) still boasts 20 incredibly strong Royce tracks, for less money. Honestly, I'd recommend the non-import version simply because it's easier to get a-hold of and less expensive. If you're a hard-core Royce fan, buy this version, but if you're not, just buy the original. Check my review of the album on the site for the original. I give you a much more in depth review. Go check it out.

5.0 out of 5 stars no joke- em made a big mistake, February 3, 2004

(REAL NAME)
what can i say? he is a street hood with a genius's vocabulary. this cd should of replaced the first release. it is dark and raw. full of battle laced raps tracks. whew. he impressed me first on eminem's first cd "bad and evil". if you loved rap on em's first joint- you'll love this release.

by the way- he rips em apart. wow.

5.0 out of 5 stars KING OF DETROIT ROCK CITY!, September 27, 2006
Standout Tracks: DUCK DOWN(dope D12 subliminal diss), I WONT BE, LIGHTS OUT, STATE YOUR NAME, TROUBLE, MAKE MONEY, DANGER, U DONT KNOW ME, KING OF DETROIT, LIFE GOES ON, SPIT GAME, IN THE PRESENSE OF WOLVES, WAR, MAKE THIS RUN, HEARTBEAT, MALCOM X(excellent D12 diss!) and TAKE ME AWAY. Filler: We ridin falls short but thats it. Bottom line: Royce is one of the most underrated emcees from up north. This album is supposedly throw-away songs he wasnt feeling but if you ask me his throw aways are better than most rappers albums that are out now. Its kind of obvious why feminem never signed him. He didnt want anybody better than him on his record label. Id listen to Royce anyday over anything thats on slavery records!
