Bought book as a gift for someone that had built beautiful boxes out of pallet wood. May be more for a beginner.

The book is a fast read but there is not much in it - unless you are a farmer in England- like the author. He understates the difficulty of getting useable wood from standard pallets. The effort to take apart a pallet with average tools is 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Some pallets are treated with toxic substances and should not come in contact with skin or food substances. For gates, compost containers and such the ideas in the book will work. Look elsewhere for furniture made from pallets.
