Build A Shaker Table, November 8, 2002
I purchased this video at a woodworking show in Nashville,
Tn about 2 years and have watched it at least 20 times. I have
a large collection of woodworking videos and can unambigously
state that this is the best all around video of the bunch. Mr.
Mehler is an excellent instructor and the care he takes in his work is evident throughout the video. The project is a challenge, but the techniques shown in the video can be applied to about any project. The video starts with the
milling process and continues through the beginning stages of the
finishing. If the video has one shortcoming it is that finishing is pretty much left up to the viewer. Of course, this is intentional. The video throughly describes and demonstrates
the process of transforming raw materials into a finished project (i.e., wood selection, milling, grain direction, jointing, glue-up, surface prep, etc...). I strongly recommend this video for the serious beginning and intermediate woodworker.
I review this video before nearly every project I begin.I would also strongly recommend his Mastering the Table Saw video for the beginner.

I'm in Kelly's workshop, April 5, 2007
This review is from: Build a Shaker Table (DVD)
Watching this video is like being there with this craftsman. I can watch it again and again to get details. That's the great thing about DVD. Watching him work almost feels like I am holding the other end of the board.
