This album is some of the finest super-happy, sing-along jams that the indie-pop genre has to offer. Build it Up has a knack for picking the catchiest melodies, but combining them with crunchy guitars to avoid being too syrupy-sweet. Synths and fast pacing give it a dancey quality, as well.

The lyrics sound anectodal, and a bit vague, but offer tidbits to which many twenty-somethings could likely relate. Lines like "when I take you home, I hit every light," to express a desire to live with a significant other, or "who do you dress up for when I'm not around?" are simple yet true.

Fans of groups like Matt and Kim, Mates of State, or 90's indie pop like The Rentals, will enjoy One for the Team.
