This book is just a series of badly explained home projects and nothing more.
I found only one useful. My overall score is 3 stars just because the book is cheap.
The author keeps reminding you that he is the most skilled woodworker in the world using phrases like "It only took me 4 hours to complete", when one clearly can see that is only possible if you own every gadget the market has to offer.
No real teaching, no approach to workbenches, just a bunch of specialized items that you can create for a single purpose (therefore not very useful).

Did I really buy this? If you are interested in building a workbench, then get these: Workbench Book by Scott Landis; Workbench by Lon Schleining. `Nuf said.

It's a waste of the 84 cents that I paid for it, plus shipping.......

Custom workbenches? Not in this book. But, if you want to read 2, yes 2 different chapters on how to build a saw horse, then this is your book.

Incredibly, this book was published by Popular Woodworking's book division. I can't believe that they let this dog out of the kennel....
