5.0 out of 5 stars YAY!
Yes, it's tiny. It's supposed to be tiny, that's the point. The whole thing fits in a tiny box, it's the same with the rest of the Running Press Mini Kits. But, like most of their other kits, this is a lot of fun and really cool. You get a tiny model Stonehenge to build and display in your home/office/whatever. If you're quirky, eccentric, or just into this kind of thing...

Pay close attention to the Product Dimensions: 3.2 x 3 x 1.3 inches. It's very small, with TINY pieces.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really impressive micro-Stonehenge!, November 16, 2008
This review is from: Build Your Own Stonehenge (Running Press Mini Kits) (Paperback)
I didn't expect a lot from a Stonehenge kit that would fit inside the tiny mini-kit box, but was delightfully surprised. After I assembled the model and set it on a sunny windowsill, it cast perfect Stonehenge-esque shadows, and I was very pleased with it indeed! [Yes, I actually fiddled around with the placement so as to orient it in the same way as the original - though I don't know if I'll be able to make myself get up at dawn on the solstice to check out the accuracy of the positioning!]

I've been wanting to create a small terrarium/garden using moss or creeping thyme, so I could place the Stonehenge model on a green growing background; the model would look very nice in a mini-garden setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's everything I hoped it would be, and more!, July 13, 2010

What can I say about this that hasn't already been said? It's Stonehenge! It's tiny! And it's awesome! I acquired this model by spinning a wheel correctly at a former job a while back but hadn't opened it until now. I decided to decorate my desk at my new job with something wonderful, and when I remembered I had it, I knew it would fit the bill perfectly.

The moment I pulled the small pieces out of the box, I knew it was something magical. The small landscape is actually a set of 8 puzzle pieces that you fit together. Once this menial task is accomplished, the real magic begins by placing each small stone piece on numbered outlines on the landscape. The numbers in the outline correspond to the numbers on the bottom of the stone pieces, so it should only take a matter of minutes to bring the ancient wisdom and magic of the Druids into your life. Be sure to keep this away from small children, though, as they may find themselves overwhelmed with the urge to swallow small pieces of magic! The kit also includes a small booklet that tells you everything you'd ever want to know (and more) about Stonehenge.

I cannot recommend this product highly enough. If you wish to bring the ancient mysticism and wonder of early Britannia to your home or office, you can do no wrong with this.

Super item. I'm a wargamer, and this fits well as "terrain" for my early celt/Irish/British warriors!!!

This is a cool and accurate replica of Stonehenge. The stone pieces do not stand up well though. I glued them to the base.

Gave two of these as gifts to people with cubicles and both have commented how they are a great conversation starter. The mat seems a little flimsy but the price range for a gift like this, I won't hold it against it too much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stonehedge Mini-Kit, January 11, 2012

Item arrived when promised and in new condition just as ordered. It was one of my niece's Christmas present and it was hard to believe that the little box held both the kit and a book but it did.
