First tried it through a free trial on my computer, liked it so much that I purchased the program. I usually do not like computer games. It has 35 levels and bonus levels, its fun, easy to learn and challenging for a new computer game player.
Each level gives you goals to reach and the goals change from making a certain amount of money to building a number of type of homes.
I would recommend this game to a friend.

I've played all three and this one just may be my favorite. The Appeal adds a lot of new strategy and the parks and shops are fun to build. The rating system was a little strange, but overall, it's a great game...very addicting!

I had never played this series before & only got this as part of the free download through Amazon. As soon as I started it, I was hooked. It gives you goals to meet for each development you're in charge of building. There are mini-levels in each development (4-6 mini-levels, I think). Not only is the challenge to meet the goals but the extra challenge is to complete it within a designated time frame......that was kind of hard for me as a 1st time player but I did achieve on a few mini-levels. Keeps you captivated by the various pop-up challenges so you're definitely involved. Graphics are fine & game was fun. I had to play it until I completed it!!!

This game is even more fun than the original. The artwork and animation is really awesome. The new appeal strategy element makes the game even better than the first Build-a-lot Build-a-lot [Game Download].

And a DS version Build a Lot.

There is also a Mac version but I don't think Amazon has it yet.

As a fan of time management games, I have just recently discovered the Build-a-lot series. I have so far played the first two all the way through. Build-a-lot 2 is an excellent, and addictive, time management game. I spent hours playing, and replaying, trying to complete each city in the best possible time. Each level becomes more challenging, without feeling completely impossible. Would definitely recommend, but only if you have lots of time to kill. LOL.

Played Build-A-Lot 2 as a demo on HP Games and had to buy it. Found it much, much cheaper at Amazon (like always). This is a classic real time strategy game. Each level has certain goals that must be obtained within a time limit and every two or three levels the game will give you a new resource to utilize.

This real estate game focuses on building homes, collecting rent and enhancing the aesthetics of your neighborhood. There are no sim people and no complicated utilities to hook up. You do, however, have to manage your building materials, money and workers wisely to complete the levels. You are provided with several different types of houses ranging in degrees of rental income and building requirements, all of which can be upgraded to provide more rental income. You are also provided with parks to enhance appeal, businesses to increase you cash on hand and industrial buildings that give you certain perks such as worker efficiency.

Build-A-Lot 2 provided me with almost twenty hours of game play before I beat the campaign mode and I am still working my way through the free play mode. It's a fun way to pass a few hours if you're not looking for anything too in-depth or mentally demanding.

I liked it a bit more than 1. I like that they added another level to this. I was looking for some more variety, though it played quite well.

This game was fun for the first hour. But it's very repetitive and quickly becomes boring after you've done the same thing over and over for a while.

This game is a good balance between it being challenging and fun. Definitely worth the money, because it'll take you a while to get through all the levels, but even in the tougher ones, it's fun. Doesn't take a lot of time to do each level. I'd highly recommend this game to anyone, kids or adults, it's a blast!

The game was fun BUT the time limit is to fast and changing the win info after the game has started I do not like! So I have removed this game from my computer.
