I absolutely love this disc. The infusion of piano and drums with various string instruments creates and interesting blend of sounds. The violin is really amazing, there's something haunting and beautiful about the way Matt Mcbane plays, and apparently the way he composes as well. There are parts of the first track that I would want to follow me around all day, like theme-music. It's moody and mysterious. I usually put on instrumental music as background sounds while I'm working, but I found myself sitting and just listening to this entire record without moving onto anything else. The composition sounds really complex, but also somehow works in this really beautiful way without being overwhelming. Every track has its own sound, but the overall span of sound on the disc from start to finish flows really well.

I recently gotten into (big time) a composer/pianist by the name of David Moore ( ImDavidMoore.com , myspace.com/BingAndRuth ). He is fantastic, nothing comes close to this guy. But i recently came across this band "Build" and I am floored. Like David Moore and BingAndRth, this guys are way before there time and bands like this won't get the props they deserve.
