5.0 out of 5 stars Superb B&W line drawings for hand coloring!
The official BOTA deck is too good to be true! The Case-Parkerendition is cleaner, with less cross-hatching, to facilitate easierhand coloring. I used colored pencils to color my deck, and I am very well pleased with the results, which resemble stained glass in their vivid brilliance and intensity. There is perhaps no better way to ingrain the imagery of the Tarot into...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I have been a student of the Bulders of the Adytum for 15 years. When I had been with them for four years, I was asked to sign a pledge in terms of which I promised never to publish the contents of their lessons.

I hold such pledges to be binding and am totally disappointed that this group can ignore their pledge and publish. The publication does not seem to...

This review is from: Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.) Tarot Deck (Cards)
The official BOTA deck is too good to be true! The Case-Parkerendition is cleaner, with less cross-hatching, to facilitate easierhand coloring. I used colored pencils to color my deck, and I am very well pleased with the results, which resemble stained glass in their vivid brilliance and intensity. There is perhaps no better way to ingrain the imagery of the Tarot into one's subconscious mind than to color each card oneself. The personal energy and intent which goes into the creation of one's own unique deck makes for a very powerful and Magickal Tarot indeed! I would heartily recommend this deck to anyone who is serious about learning the Qabalistic symbology of the Tarot as a method of the Western Esoteric Traditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars a word of caution, November 25, 2011

This is a very useful Tarot deck, but these prices are outrageous. You may purchase this deck directly from BOTA (bota.org) for just $13

5.0 out of 5 stars great deck, October 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.) Tarot Deck (Cards)
I bought The Tarot: A Key to the Wisdom of Ages by Paul Foster Case about a month ago. Since then, the Tarot became deeply interesting and I had to purchase a suitable deck to study with. This led me to this deck. I have begun to color the cards and study a Major Key each day. The first thing I do when I turn 21 will be to send in an application to the B.O.T.A.
I plan on acquiring more writings of Case's, and I plan on studying Tarot regularly.

I hold such pledges to be binding and am totally disappointed that this group can ignore their pledge and publish. The publication does not seem to have the blessing of the Builders of the Adytum and so, to me is suspect.

In publishing lessons that are intended to be worked on a weekly basis in a single book, the publishers have done students of these matters a seruious injustice.

What you sow, that also shall ye reap.
