3.0 out of 5 stars Basic discussion November 8, 2011

This book appears to be a basic discussion on the topic and not a detailed look into modern processes and techniques of setting up systems that allow an organization to be data driven. Maybe this is what the author intended ("basic discussion") but I expected more.

I cant say that I was impressed so I can only give a rating of 3.

4.0 out of 5 stars if you are in data science, you need to read this May 10, 2012

In this relatively new field of data science it's difficult to even define what is included let alone define the teams that create the results. This is a great book that clarifies both the definition of data science and the kind of teams do the work. This is a must read for people seriously in this field.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great resource for data science professionals December 26, 2011
Especially for people involved in hiring analytic professionals. If you are interested in learning about data science and want to understand modern, innovative, state-of-the-art techniques and apply these techniques, I recommend that you download the "Data Science ebook by Analyticbridge". It's also a free book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Even free books are to be avoided
Very superficial, no guidelines that can be used in practice. Data Science is a hot topic so setting up a team for doing just that can be a challence-this book will not help.

3.0 out of 5 stars Short, easy read. Nice overview of 'what' not enough 'how'

4.0 out of 5 stars Good content, but short
I thought I was getting a free book, but it is really just a white-paper put into the e-book format. Good content, but too short.
