This review is from: Building Friendships [VHS] (VHS Tape)
It is highly unfair to the producers of this series for it to be reviewed by adults. We cannot quite look at Bob and company with the same wide-eyed wonder and enthusiasm as a toddler/preschooler.While the 45-minute length may be excruciatingly long for the "wiser" head, it's just the right size for the small fry. My two-year-old nephew and his older four-year-old niece can't get enough of the adventures of Bob, Wendy, Pilchard the cat, Muck the truck, and the other assorted inhabitants of the colorful Claymation world. This particular video features four full stories ("Bob and the Badgers," "Trix and the Otters", "Mr. Beasley's New Friends", and "Hamish's New Home") and four "mini-adventures" ("Scruffty's Bathtime," "Roley's Rock Garden", "Sing-a-long Bird", and "Mrs. Potts' Plant Pots"). The most admirable quality of the set is that the signature line "Yes, we can!" is a wonderful means of teaching perseverance and cooperation, small lessons that carry BIG weight. These are invaluable in creating productive leaders of tomorrow!
