This second installment of Building Military Dioramas in our popular new modeling series features seven all new dioramas, beautifully photographed in stunning detail in full color. Four new dioramas by VP Studios include “The Forgotten War”, a Korean war armor diorama, “Road to Moscow”, a bizarre Russian tank captured by the Nazis, “Bridge Too Small”, the making of a VP instant diorama base, and “Desert Raiders”, a compact diorama depicting a classic SAS deployment in North Africa with their uniquely modified Jeep. Three more incredible dioramas are featured by master modelers Young Jin Won and Greg Cihlar. “Battlefield”’ by Young Jin Won, showcases his amazing figure-painting skills in a dramatic WWII vignette. “Trouble in France” is a giant 1:15 scale diorama by Greg Cihlar featuring a German Panzer III under fire, and “Lost and Found”, by the same modeler, features an abandoned Russian tank being inspected by advancing Germans. In all, this is another delightful book providing an enticing glimpse into the fascinating world of military miniatures. This book is highly recommended to all modelers, historians, and veterans.

The second book in the Building Military Diorama sequence, describing 8 dioramas. The subjects of the dioramas differ from the African desert in WWII to the Korean War. The dioramas are described in the usual Verlinden way: so, very detailed. The only minor, if there is one, is the fact that, with the exception of 3 figures, all figures and detail sets used are from Verlinden Productions. Dear Mr. Verlinden, when will the next issue be released?
