This review is from: Building Organizational Fitness: Management Methodology for Transformation and Strategic Advantage (Corporate Leadership) (Hardcover)
Although Fukuda's work is less well-known than Ohno's Toyota Production System, his approach by contrast, especially in leaned down organizations, is directed to the right level - management - where improvement yields 10X leverage, vs. shop floor effort that are slower and one-to-one. As industry leaders are learning, it's management and supervision that need to understand continuous improvement methodologies.
