Hugely Underrated,

Sense Field deserve so much more recognition than they have received. In a time when angst ridden rap metal has taken over the mainstream there are not enough bands like Sense Field who are not afraid to express their positive vibe through amazingly melodic songs that are filled with energy. Having seen what an amazing live act these guys are I can't believe the music community does not embrace one of the most underrated bands out there today. Due to contractual disputes Sense Field's new album is still waiting to be released. Until then, I urge everyone to support one of the best bands out there today. "Building" represents some of their best material to date. Very, very essential listening.

Their best album...,

This album is simply amazing. Much faster (ie - more punk) than anything they've done since their band Reason To Believe. Beautiful melodies that are at the same time angry. If you're a fan of emo, post-hc, melodic hc/punk, you probably already own it.

Sense Field is clearly the best group of song writers I've ever heard. In a time when Hanson sells a zillion copies of an album of 4-chord songs that can be written in half an hour, Sense Field consistently shows that they can write music in irregular times and keys better than anyone alive. Hooray for Sense Field!

chef d'oeuvre,

Born on the ashes of the straight edge hardcore scene of the 80's, Sense Field is one of the best bands you can listen to. After 2 beautiful albums, this one is for me their best one. I would say it's the climax of all the post hardcore genre. Don't call it emo, just call it great music.Classical music.

Melodic punk at its best,

I pulled one of those no clue jobies on acquiring this album. I had heard just a bit about this band but was yet to have really heard any songs off any albums. I think I might have heard the title track, "Building" on a snowboard video or something but I'm not really sure. Anyways, I was actually searching for information on Texas is the Reason when I stumbled across one of those "if you like this band" things. It all turned out for the best cause this album rocks! It's pretty similar to Texas style music, lots of "to melodic to be really called punk by Captain Skinhead" songs. The singer, Jonathan Bunch, has a pretty high voice which makes for some really moving melodies. The title track sticks out like a sore thumb, forcing you to play one hit wonder on the repeat button. The rest of the album doesn't seem to maintain the power of "Building", but still remains pretty solid. It's definitely a grow me cd. I keep finding good points in songs that I missed from the previous listen. It's the kinda album that fits well for those "emotional trauma" moments. I can see being in a state of despair and playing this cd over and over again. I'm not saying its depressing, just that the music strikes up emotion. Heart felt emotion. Anyways, On my scale of ignorance I'd give it a 8. I bet in a few weeks I'll think its a 10 as I get more involved with the cd with each playback. 'love is building'

3 Good songs, Overstand, Building, Outlives the Man. Singer has a good voice, but the album never really goes beyond that. Too Bad!
