More About the Author

Rick Hayes-Roth is a Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School as well as Chairman & CEO of Truth Seal Corp., a company started in 2011 that operates a Marketplace for Truth Telling(TM). Truth Seal's mission is to validate public statements, make the statements and their authors trustworthy, and help create a competitive marketplace that rewards truth telling. Hayes-Roth has written 5 books and more than 100 published articles. These all revolve around two central ideas: (1) "You are what you eat" in the sense of an information-consuming thinking animal. You had better consume excellent information and use it effectively if you want to thrive in the modern world. (2) We are awash in an exponentially increasing sea of information and, increasingly, that sea is willfully polluted by lies and propaganda. If we want to do well individually and collectively, we need to implement ways to filter out low-value (or negative-value) bits so we can spend our time thinking about and acting upon high-value bits, meaning true and significant information. Extensive bibliographies and bios are available at the NPS faculty website and also on wikipedia; search on "Rick Hayes-Roth".
