More About the Author

Nancy Padak is a Distinguished Professor of Education at Kent State University. She also directs the Reading and Writing Center at KSU and is the Principal Investigator for the Ohio Literacy Resource Center. Her past experience includes classroom teacher and district administrator. She has authored or edited books/monographs, has contributed book chapters, and written more than 100 articles on topics related to literacy development. She is a frequent presenter at professional meetings and an active consultant for school districts throughout the U.S.
