This is a guide to using WinHelp 4.0, Microsoft's Help authoring tool to create additions to Windows 95 applications. The book includes tips on planning, designing and implementing professional Help systems and describes how to incorporate multimedia, pop-up menus and full-text search options. The accompanying disk contains example help files, demonstrating how to create professional help systems from start to finish. Readers are taught the basics of incorporating simple RTF files into paged help files, including the coding necessary to create links, jumps, lists, tables and indices. They are also shown how to compile these files into Help files; link them with outside DLLS and existing applications; and incorporate macros, multimedia and graphics.
