Book Description

2000
Understanding the principles that five rise to these phenomena is crucial for African people! Building a Healthy Sense of Self: Essential Knowledge for African People uncovers mysteries behind questions such as these. It presents concise explanations for how two people can witness or experience the same event, yet form different interpretations. It explains how to maintain your sense of self when your rational perceptions differ from those of society's controlling group. Members of the group that controls society's economics, politics, education and media have less need for this material. The social environment nourishes them continuously. However, Africans endure non-stop subliminal messages that our thoughts and feelings are ancillary or invalid. This book offers knowledge that helps you validate your rational perceptions. It helps you build a healthy sense of self, so you can see through society's psychological stumbling blocks and consequently guide your life with a clear sense of purpose.

Bob marley said every man does is thing a little way different. Asians, orientals, europeans and africans, dance differently, talk differently, eat different foods and this book show you how african psychologically internalise their experience under european hegemony. from a psycholically scientific perspective its a must read for any black person who wants to know why they respond the way they do to change or disagreements. Wanna know why your parents are so resistant to you wanting to opt out of university - see chapetr one. Your relationship going in a never ending argumentative cycle - see chapeters 2 and 3. if your black you need to read it. learn how your brain works that little way different from from the asian, european & oriental. 5/5
