I purchased the Built NY sleeve and another sleeve simultaneuosly - you simply could not compare the two. The quality of the Built NY was by far superior in almost every way. The zipper is stronger and sturdier, the padding is thicker and nicer. The extra pockets on the outside provide for the little something extra to store all the cable mess and to top it all off it was large enough to fit my HP pavillion 17" snuggly and firmly enough that I felt that it was really protected and not just flopping around in a cover.

I just bought a new Lenovo T400 laptop, and I needed a sleeve to protect it while carrying it around in my backpack. My backpack has a dedicated section for laptops, but it's a lot bigger than my laptop is, and I also wanted to keep dust, hairs, nasties away at the same time.

The T400 fits very nicely into the sleeve with just the right amount of tension keeping the sleeve on. Pulling it out is not a struggle and is quite easy. The 3 pockets are quite useful. I don't have a mouse yet, but I stick my USB flash drive, headphones and occasionally my power adapter when I need to carry it around by itself. Obviously, it's not a very good idea to stick a whole bunch of things in the pockets when you need it to be flat (like putting it into a laptop compartment in a bag).

The construction is sturdy and the seams are all done well. The neoprene thickness is about 5-6mm.
It also looks cool!

Clean, simple and effective protection for my large laptop. Seems durable and well-made, external pockets stretch enough to hold my mouse and power supply handily.
Slips in my briefcase easily. Just enough product for the purpose.

I bought this for my 15 inch laptop and it was an extremely snug fit, I loved the case itself up until the point that the zipper teeth started falling out making it impossible to close(or Open in my case) and I had to rip the closure apart to get my laptop back out of case. It would be understandable for something to fall apart after a while...but not for actual individual teeth to come off of the zipper just 3 days after I got it. Really not worth the cash in my opinion. Maybe you could swing it with a 14" laptop but it seems that 15" is just too much for the case to handle regardless of what it advertises.

We bought this concerned about the size of our HP laptop with a 17.3" screen. The sides are stretchy to fit the lap-top. It's a snug, secure fit, but the laptop slides in and out easily. We love the extra pockets, too. This was a great buy!

First off a word of CAUTION: Be careful you are ordering the RIGHT SIZE of this product. I made a mistake the first time I ordered this and received the medium version, which is designed for 15" laptops. I had to return that one and submit a second order for the one designed to fit 17" laptops. Kudos to Amazon: they accepted the return, gave me a full refund, and paid for the return shipping. I think they need to change the widget on the product page. It's not as clear as it could be as to which product you are ordering.

All that said, the large version of this product fits my laptop like a glove -- snug but not TOO tight. The large, heavy-duty zipper is great -- seems like it will last a long time. The material used in the sleeve itself is pretty thick and elastic. It adds a little bulk to the unit, but I can still easily slide it into, say, a backpack if I want to. Most times, however, I won't even bother with the backpack -- I'll just carry the laptop with the sleeve on it.

The sleeve probably won't eliminate damage if the machine has a serious accident (e.g., dropped from a high place), but I think it will do a great job in protecting it from most other minor abuses and keep the shell of the laptop looking good. Highly recommend this product!

Overall good, but gets little dents in the foam-like material that make the case look weathered. It definitely does the job of protecting, but asthetically it can get damaged on the exterior.

I really struggled with selecting the right sleeve for my Dell E6500 and even contacted Built directly. After returning the 17" sleeve because it left too much play for my laptop I ordered this 15" sleeve and it fits snuggly, truly a perfect fit.

After looking at what feels like hundereds of cases (why don't they make anything cute for 17"???) I decided to go with this one. I read quite a few of the reviews, especially the ones that involved a dell studio 17, I decided to buy it. Half of the reviews said it was great, the other half said too tight. I'm soooooo glad that I got it, it fits perfectly. I don't have the lager battery (9 cell), so that might account for some of the reviews that say it doesn't fit. Since I paid the extra $85 to Dell for the "design studio" graphic design on the laptop's cover I want to make sure it stays looking as perfect as the day it left the factory. I have to say this sleeve does not disapoint. It's awesome protection with minimal bulk and @ around $30 the price can't be beat. The pockets on the outside are great, although I will say that the pocket for the mouse might be a tad on the small side (even with out the laptop in the case). I have an ihome mouse (the smaller version) and its a little tough o squeeze it in there. Overall though I very happy with it!!! And the Spring Fuschia color is so beautiful!!!

I bought this laptop sleeve for my 16" Toshiba Satellite and it is a perfect fit! My laptop has an external battery and I was worried it wouldn't close when I bought it, but there is plenty of room. The sleeve is very protective and fits great in a laptop tote or backpack. The cargo pockets are great for my external harddrive and power cords and the smallest pocket is perfect for my Ipod. Love love love this product and would recommend it to anyone!
