This fits the iPad 2 encased in the Apple smart cover perfectly. It's snug enough so the iPad is perfectly secure while allowing just a little bit of space for a stylus or a few loose papers to be stored as well.
My only minor complaint is the loudness of the velcro when opening the envelope--definitely not a deal breaker by any means.

I wanted something more than the magnetic cover apple offers for my iPad so that the back of the iPad would be protected also. Couldn't find a neoprene sleeve that would work with the cover. This case fits both iPad and magic cover. And fits well into a medium sized purse. Perfect.
