Since there were several reviews on other BTS recordings, I decided to review this one. Incidenly, "When not being stupid is not enough" is my favorite, favorite BTS song (I have several favorites). The song captures all I like about BTS and music as a whole (truth be told). Great, straight foward lyrics, not too much production, and exposive, explorative guitar. Doug solos for several minutes before even thinking about singing. It brings to mind one of my favorite all time songs, Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer".The rest of the songs are great, as well, but no match for the opener. There are only 4 songs, so the price is steep (thus 4 star rating). BTS beginners should start out with one of the full length recordings, first. I have seen BTS in concert. Don't miss them when they come around. Because if you like music, they are truly the real deal.

From curious pop hooks to extended guitar noodling, BtS stands as the greatest jamming band in the world. This release, consisting of the instant classic, "When Not Being Stupid Is Not Enough," as well as the brilliantly delicious cover of Kicking Giant's "She's Real" is a must for any BtS fan. Although the cover has changed (There used to be a hatching chick), the music takes you where it will. A virtual guitar symphony, "When Not Being Stupid..." stands out as the most brilliant track of BtS's history.

A rather fun EP,

It took a while to grow on me, enamored as I was of "Keep It Like A Secret" -- but grow it did! When you've digested all you can of "accessible" BTS and are ready to stretch your legs, this is a good way to do it.
That or go see them live.

Doug Martsch has been making amazing, yet virtually unheard of music for years. BTS and Caustic Resin make a good team. There's only a few songs, but they are vital to a collection.
