A wonderful edition of the full Orthodox Bible in Bulgarian. Both Old and New Testaments (including the non-cannonical books) The appendix includes excellent maps as well as a summary of the history of the Bible's translations (and editions) in Bulgarian -from the first one done by Cyrill and Methodius to this last one in contemporized, understandable Bulgarian. Simple, warm and wonderful cover design. Double-column page design including explanations at the end of each chapter. Finally - price! More than reasonable for an 820 page book, published and printed in the USA. I'm not sure on this, but I think this is the first Bulgarian book published in the USA.

I bought this Bible as a gift for my parents. THe cover seemed elegant in the photo, and the price was quite good for a paperback edition.
I was absolutely disappointed when I got it: the cover is brown, not black, losing much of the effect and giving it the aspect of a cheap book. I found it difficult to read through: the fonts are really small, there is no separation between books (in the same page 37, for example, a little underlined text indicates where the second book of Moses starts), and, worse, there are no headers indicating which book you are looking at: in a certain page you will se "''''' 15" (Chapter 15) without knowing to which book it belongs. To know it, you must go back to the index. A couple of maps at the end cannot make up for the lacking. If you are looking for a reprint of and old text, this book may be for you. If you want a gift Bible, or a Bible to read on a daily basis, this is definitely not the one.
