The Bulldog Power Products 500-watt one-light 4-to-8-foot telescoping halogen light features a bright, contractor-grade quartz halogen bulb with ample ability for lighting up to 7,000-square-feet. The fixture is independently adjustable to 360-degrees and is UL-listed weatherproof for added durability and versatility. A 10 Amp switch operates the light, and rubber leg tips protect surfaces while providing added stability. The infinitely adjustable steel base expands to 48 inches, and can be sandbagged for added stability. Also included is a 15-foot 16-gauge heavy-duty cord, and the cord runs through the light's middle column for tangle free operation. The light meets or exceeds all OSHA standards and regulations, and comes backed with a 5-year limited warranty.

I have purchased this item over the last 3 to 4 years only because they fold up tight and easy to store and rise up to 8' for when I plaster ceilings. I have gone through at least 2 dozen of these units pricing from $150 to $79 for the same unit from Amazon to other paint stores. They have all been the same lousy locking bolts that strip easily and quickly some arriving out of the box stripped.Lense frame that are tinny and break quickly and lenses that then fall out and break. Shorts that happen on all of them eventually and a pain plus a lot of time to repair. The heads are not ventilated so the heat from the bulbs can fuse the bulb inside the porcelan contact protectors breaking the protectors when trying to remove the fused bulb. The only good thing is they take up little space in the trucks and on the site. They throw good light when they are working. Way over priced for the built in break downs. I will not be buying this unit any more and will try to find a more industrial type of better quality or make my own.

There is an electrical short which leads to the bulbs being burned out after only about 20 hrs. I have now gone through four bulbs. The base was also broken upon arrival, which I fixed.

I've had this brand light for about 12 years. It withstood a great amount of use in all weather conditions. It's final downfall was an angry wife, who "chucked it". Anyway, the only thing wrong is the cast frame that holds the lens and guard in place. I can get a replacement I think. I'll be getting another light soon. I've had several other work lights but none seemed as good as this one.

Update, After purchasing the new Bulldog worklight and using it for about two months, it's already broke. The rubber feet are gone and the hieght adjustment bolt for the feet has stripped out. The electrical cord is very hard and gets worse with cold weather. The top support for the light is very unstable and had to be retrofitted with a small bolt in order to sabilize it. Very dissatisfied! Apparently as with everything today, quality seems to dwindle. I do not reccommend this light
