First impressions of the bulldog case were that it is a top class case, looks, feel and super quality construction.
The hybrid materials do not make it an ideal travel case, and possibly, could meet some obstacles with TSA if trying to transport via airline. For regular hard case carrying, I think it is superb. The limitation for only two magazines inside the case is not that bad. I have purchased also a soft case from bulldog and that to is of tremendous quality. The only other way I would transport my AK if not in a bulldog case, would have to be on my back!

I have a heavily modified AK which did not fit the standard cut out exactly. This was easily fixed with a razor blade and a pair of scissors. I also added room for two additional magazines for a total of five counting the one in the weapon.Someone said that the magazines don't fit. Well they do. The curvature is a bit above the lower foam but the lid also provides foam protection and the mags fit fine with the lid closed. This is a really nice case which really protects the weapon and associated gear. I cannot think of a better case on the market especially at this price. 2115|R12MGD6RU8VJM5;2115|RYB4242J59H9Z;
